CDP grants guarantees to facilitate companies in accessing finance through Confidi, both medium and long term, for economic and production activities.
The beneficiary companies are identified in relation to specific initiatives promoted by CDP, in collaboration with the Regions and Ministries:
Using these indirect guarantee initiatives, CDP can use public and private resources (including from the European Community) to guarantee new portfolios of guarantees issued by Confidi. The Confidi are selected through open, transparent procedures. CDP's guarantee typically includes an 80% coverage quota and a cap for first losses which varies according to the characteristics of each specific initiative.
CDP transfers the full amount of the funding made available by the public administration to Confidi, who in turn, transfer this to the business.
This system makes it possible to activate important results in terms of financial leverage, enabling an efficient use of resources and effective blending of private and public, national and community funds.
Companies intending to apply for support in accessing credit through this channel can contact the selected intermediaries, in relation to the specific activity of interest.
See the lists of participating banks on the individual funds’ web pages (EuReCa Tourism Fund, Mipaaft Fund - Olive oil supply chain, EuReCa Fund)
